POSITION: Director of Admissions at Hudson Valley Hospice

DEPARTMENT: Admissions

STATUS/HOURS: Full Time - 40 hours /Four 10-Hour Days

Must be flexible with weekends & holidays

Must be flexible for admissions in Ulster & Dutchess

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

FUNCTION: Overall responsibility for the clinical supervision, coordination, and management of the Admissions RNs team. 
                 Responsible for the daily operations planning and priority setting for patient evaluation, admissions, 
                 and oversight, management, and evaluation of staff.

EDUCATION: Graduate from accredited nursing program BS or BSN (currently attending college to obtain a BSN) 
                   or commensurate experience, clinically and/or managerially.

NYS RN License

Hospice and Palliative Care Certification (after one year of employment)

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of three years of clinical nursing, preferably in oncology, critical care and/or home care; 
at least one year of which is medical-surgical nursing.Valid NYS Driver’s License.  
Managerial/Leadership experience required.
