What is Hospice Care?
Hospice care staff provides skilled, compassionate care to patients and their families. Staff gives them the support, help and guidance they need during an advanced illness.
What is Palliative Care?
To palliate means to make comfortable, by treating a person's symptoms from an illness. Palliative care can still be given while a person is seeking curative treatment. Hospice and palliative care both focus on helping a person be comfortable. Hospice staff addresses issues that cause physical or emotional pain, or suffering. The goal of both Hospice and palliative care is to improve the quality of a seriously ill person's life.
