| End-of-Life Legislation in the United States--2001 |
| The American Bar Association Commission on Legal Problems for
the Elderly released its annual report examining end-of-life care
legislation enacted on the state level during the 2001 calendar year. The
report gives a detailed description of newly enacted laws covering the
areas of surrogate decision-making, do-not-resuscitate orders, and
palliative care. In all, 59 measures were approved in a total of 29
jurisdictions. This website provides that report.
