MJHS Hospice and Palliative Care is one of the largest not-for-profit hospice programs in the region, offering pediatric and adult hospice patients care when and where needed: at home, in assisted living communities, nursing homes and hospitals across Greater New York.

MJHS helps adult and pediatric patients and their families live life to the fullest when dealing with a life-limiting illness by easing suffering, upholding dignity, affirming values and improving quality of life. As a charitable not-for-profit, we are committed to delivering compassionate expert care, offering peace of mind and providing comfort.

Our interdisciplinary team includes: hospice medical directors; registered nurses; medical social workers; ministers/chaplains/rabbis/spiritual advisors; creative arts therapists; home health aides; bereavement counselors; pediatric counselors for patients and their families; physical, occupational and speech therapists; volunteers; and nutritionists. Our team is accustomed to caring for patients who are as diverse as New York. We are also the largest program under Jewish auspices and meet the specialized needs of the diverse cultural and religious Jewish community, including Holocaust survivors, immigrants and adherents to Halacha. Services start within 24-48 hours of referral in Brooklyn, Queens, Nassau County, the Bronx and Manhattan.

Also included in our services is The Molly and Jack Zicklin Hospice Residence in Riverdale with 16 suites, the Muriel and Harold Block Residence in the Bronx with 16 suites, and the MJHS Hospice Residential Inpatient Unit with 16 suites on the grounds of Menorah Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing Care in Manhattan Beach, Brooklyn.
