Calvary Hospital is the only fully accredited acute care specialty hospital exclusively providing palliative care for adult advanced cancer patients in the United States. Calvary Hospital is based in the Bronx, New York with a campus in Brooklyn. We provide palliative care, which is the active treatment of the symptoms, not the cure of the disease, in order to make our patients as comfortable as possible. The Metropolitan Hospice of Greater New York and The Jewish Hospice of Greater New York provides comfort and support for people with life-limiting illnesses. A team of professionals provides ongoing services to enhance quality of life, giving attention to both patients and their loved ones. Patients on our program are provided with care at home to improve the quality of their life through medical management, spiritual guidance and emotional support. Core services include nursing, doctor, social work, HHA, volunteer pastoral visits and medications, medical equipment and supplies delivered. The Jewish Hospice is culturally sensitive to the specialized needs of the diverse cultural and religious Jewish community, including Holocaust survivors, immigrants and adherents to Halacha. Start of services with 24-48 hours of referral. We service patients and families throughout Brooklyn, Queens, Nassua County and Manhattan. Also included in our services is The Molly and Jack Zicklin Jewish Hospice Residence with 16 beds and The Jewish Home Lifecare Campus Residence with 16 beds.

Visiting Nurse Service of New York Hospice Care is a program of hope and humanity, staffed by people who combine sensitivity and compassion with professional knowledge and skill. Our program gives patients and their families time together at home, enabling them to make the most of each day. Our goal is to promote comfort and quality of life for terminally ill patients by providing the best medical, emotional and spiritual care at home. For the family and friends of hospice patients, we provide the emotional and spiritual support they need to make it through this difficult time. Included in our services is a hospice residence with a total of 8 beds.
