Volunteer Scholarship

Once again, through the generous donation of The Joseph E. Brown Fund and the Rochester Area Community Foundation, a limited number of scholarships are available for volunteers to attend the HPCANYS 26th Annual Interdisciplinary Seminar & Meeting at The Saratoga, Saratoga Springs, NY on Thursday and Friday, March 30 - 31, 2006. The only criterion for eligibility is that the individual must be a hospice volunteer. The scholarship's sponsor, Joseph E. Brown, feels that any volunteer, whether newly trained or a 10-year veteran, would benefit from attending this important conference, which each year celebrates the spirit of hospice and palliative care professionals and their commitment to end-of-life care.

Applications must be received by Friday, February 24, 2006. Faxed applications are also allowed. Once the applications are received, scholarships will be awarded to eligible volunteers on a "first come, first serve" basis until all scholarship funds have been used. Scholarships are for the volunteer registration fee only; travel and overnight accommodations are the responsibility of the volunteer. Each volunteer will be notified of their scholarship award via e-mail.

If you have any questions, please contact Karmel DeStefano at 518-446-1483 or by e-mail at kdestefano@hpcanys.org.
