Pre-Conference Intensive Session:
Pediatric Palliative Care Services Under the NYS Care At Home Waiver

Saratoga Hilton Hotel Wednesday, May 27, 2009
12:00–5:15

An eight year journey is about to come to an end, resulting in a new service for children on the Care at Home Medicaid Waiver (CAH I/II). The Care at Home Waiver is up for renewal this year, and the re-newal application to the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) includes 5 new waiver services intended to provide pediatric palliative care. The is an exciting outcome for NYS Department of Health (DOH) staff and Hospice and Palliative Care Association of NYS (HPCANYS) members and staff, who have been working on this project since 2000. Attend this half-day intensive to learn how to prepare your program to implement this waiver.
